An expanded meeting of the University Council

Within the framework of the university development plan and as a continuation of the outcomes of the previous meeting, during which it was proposed to decentralize management, an evening on Sunday, February 11, 2024, in the meeting room of the university presidency, Mr. University Director: Professor Boufendi Tawfiq, chaired an expanded meeting of the university council that included the following gentlemen: the secretary general of the university, representatives Director, Deans of Faculties, Director of ISTA, Coordinator of the Medical Attaché, Sub-Director of Finance and Accounting, Sub-Director of Maintenance and Public Means, Sub-Director of Personnel and Training, General Secretaries of Faculties, Director of Administration and Finance of ISTA and Network and Communication Systems Officer.
  The various points related to decentralization in the management of the colleges and the Institute of Applied Sciences and Technologies were discussed for the fiscal year 2024, and the meeting concluded with the implementation of decentralization in the management while establishing several mechanisms to make this process a success, such as establishing a follow-up and accompanying committee for the process, in addition to holding weekly periodic meetings with the Secretary. The general meeting of the university was held, and a meeting was held every half month with the university president and his staff, in the presence of the deans, to determine the extent of implementation of the established program, the existing obstacles, and find possible solutions.
  During the meeting, various points related to pedagogy were also discussed, such as deliberations, as well as presenting the status of the forums, in addition to addressing the various projects that were unfrozen by the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry’s recommendations regarding the application of free programs, such as the UNIX program, were addressed.
