Activities of signing a contract to protect and manage the groundwater of colo bay
At the invitation of the Directorate of Water Resources of Skikda State, this morning, the University Rector, Professor Boufendi Tawfiq, participated in the activities of signing a contract to protect and manage the high-quality groundwater of the bay of colo, in the presence of several relevant sectors.
During his intervention, the Rector of the University, Professor Boufendi Tawfiq, stressed the importance of the topic, given that this region is full of diverse forests and distinct agricultural lands, and the benefit of groundwater in this region as a main source if it is exploited well to meet the needs of humans, animals, and plants, and thus it plays a major role in achieving the two aspirations. Water and food, and the University Rector emphasized the provision of all available material and human capabilities from research laboratories, research professors, master’s students and doctoral students who are related to this specialty for research projects of national priority such as food security and citizen health.
